Our History

The origins of Enviromark date back to 1955 when Donald R. Hobbs established a Roto-Rooter franchise in Davenport, Iowa.  Over the course of the following three decades, Don continued to serve home owners, small businesses and restaurants.  As his business grew, he found his services were in high demand with larger industrial clients in the area.

In 1988, John Hobbs, Donald’s son, joined the Roto-Rooter business and purchased the franchise in 1989.  Five months later, John founded Enviromark  to serve the industrial cleaning and environmental waste management needs of clients.

In the Midwest, there is a high potential for environmental damage with the presence of industries, terminals, farms, power plants, mills, railroads, highways, and the Mississippi River. John recognized the needs of businesses and municipalities and knew that the Quad Cities had reached a point in its development that required high tech waste management services.

Enviromark continues to offer a complete range of services including industrial cleaning and vacuuming, storage tank cleaning and removal, hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation, site cleanup, industrial and municipal sewer cleaning, and emergency response cleanup.

From project managers to equipment operators and hazardous material technicians, Enviromark personnel have the experience, knowledge, training, and certification to provide safe, responsive, and reliable service complying with EPA, DNR, OSHA, and DOT regulations.

Enviromark’s corporate headquarters is located in a 50,000 square foot facility in Davenport, Iowa, housing an extensive fleet of vehicles and state of the art equipment and providing the ideal setting for office staff operations.

After 30 years of growth from our humble beginnings, Enviromark remains dedicated to the same goal — working for a cleaner environment.
